Who We Help

The Special Children’s Christmas Parties are annual events held in many areas around Australia. The invited children are either living with a life threatening illness or have a physical or intellectual disability. Siblings of special needs children and limited numbers of children living in severely disadvantaged circumstances may also receive invitations.

In 2011, parties were held in Darwin, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle. 6,000 Children attended the seven events. Everything is provided free of charge to the invited children, their families and carers and as many as 4,000 people may attend a single event.

Visit the Variety Special Children’s Christmas Party website for more information and to learn how you can help.

Each year Rebecca Jane Photography is honoured to provide support for these parties, helping ensure every child has a special Christmas.

The number of children taken into foster care is continuing to rise at an unfortunate and astonishing rate. The Pyjama Foundation is an important and necessary literacy program for our underprivileged children in the community, even more so now than ever before.

Founder and Director, Bronwyn Sheenan, has created and provided a wonderful Program for both Foster Children and their Carers. The Pyjama Foundation’s vision is to create equal opportunities, knowledge and empowerment for all children. For two years Rebecca was proud to be North Queensland’s Volunteer Co-coordinator for The Pyjama Foundation. Today she is still an Advocate, and Rebecca Jane Photography helps raise awareness and provide aid at every opportunity.
